Symptom Checker
The second level of the “Safe Work Return Program” is the Daily Symptom Checker. The purpose of the Symptom Checker is to identify anyone that may be “symptomatic” or “developing symptoms” of the Coronavirus, and prevent their entry into the workspace, to reduce the potential for transmission and infection.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) provided employer guidance early on in the pandemic about using health-screening questions for all people entering a workspace, to identify anyone that may be symptomatic with this invisible virus. The CDC suggested questions have been expanded as more information becomes known about the virus. Additionally, the CDC recommends daily temperature checks for all people entering the workplace. The Safe Work Return integrated Symptom Checker includes the temperature screening data in one system.
Employees receive a daily e-mail reminding them to complete the Symptom Checker prior to arriving at work. Any employee answering questions “yes” is notified automatically not to report to work and remain at home to avoid possible exposure to other employees and the workplace.
The company administrator will receive a daily e-mail to notify them of any employees that have not competed their daily Symptom Checker screening, or if any employee has been notified to stay at home.
The symptom Checker is a mobile enabled web based system providing employees a convenient and secure way to complete the daily Symptom Checker from their mobile devices. This Symptom Checker does not require employees to download any applications to their cell phone.
